Tudor Revival Kitchen
Monrovia
This renovated kitchen in a historic Tudor home has the feel of stepping back in time, but with all the modern conveniences. The kitchen was extended a few feet into the laundry room top provide for a longer island, and a pull-out pantry now divides the kitchen and laundry. Hand-rubbed cherry cabinets accentuate the hand-crafted feel, and new wood floor was installed to match the original floor from the 1930’s. Modified Tudor arches are present throughout the home, the new widened opening between the kitchen and breakfast nook matches the arch into the adjacent parlor. The early-80’s bay window was removed and redesigned using diamond leaded glass – a nod to the existing picture window in the living room, the hand-made copper oriel adds elegance and graces to the exterior of the bay window, the surrounding brick was carefully restored.
